EFFECT: Magician places a girl in a cube. Four large triangle shapes are inserted in the cube. The audience can see through each tube. The magician steps behnd the illusion and separates the cube and the girl has vanished. All is put together and tubes are removed and the girl re-emerges from the cube. Illusion is based on a Rand Woodbury concept.

Jack Moyer- Happy 28th Anniversary to my wife Vicki Moyer

This blog has nothing to do with the Snap Illusions product blogs that I have been doing...this one is more of a personal blog.

My wife, Vicki, and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary yesterday, and as one of my magician friends said to me in an email yesterday, 28 is a milestone these days, and it really is.

My wife and I were high school sweethearts.  It was a good thing she had the same love for magic as I did because we actually performed a show on our honeymoon night..now that's commitment :).

We have raised 2 wonderful children, John and Tawni, who both work at Snap Illusions.  They too, have the same love for magic, and were both heavily involved in our Magic Show since they were small children. They could go on to be anything they wanted to be, but they choose to be involved in magic.  Several years ago John was responsible for creating several magic effects which are still on the market today.

I am extremely proud of my wife and my children and all of their accomplishments and charitable contributions.

We feel very thankful and blessed to have such a close bond with our children.

So, in closing I just want to thank my wife for 28 beautiful years  of marriage, and for our 2 wonderful children.

#1--Assistant is placed in chamber, smoke begins to fill chamber and cover is placed over it. When cover is whisked away, assistant has vanished. The illusion can also be done without smoke and covered with the cloth.

#2--The assistant may appear from the chamber, if done in reverse.

Snap Illusions Ultimate Mini Spiker-Beautiful!

EFFECT: A menacing apparatus is wheeled on stage. This apparatus consists of a plate with 8 menacing aluminum spikes and a small chamber. The audience can clearly see the spikes penetrate the chamber. The assistant enters through a small door at one end of the chamber. The front door may be opened to show assistant inside the chamber. The front door is closed and the assistants hand is seen waving from the center of the chamber. The magician then proceeds thrust the spikes through the side of the chamber, in an instant the girls hand vanishes and the front and back doors are open to reveal the assistant has disappeared. The magician may now go to the back of the cabinet , wave his hand to show there is nothing inside. At this point both doors are closed, spikes are removed and doors open , the assistant steps out unharmed !  This illusion is perfect for the performer who wants to add a Spiker illusion into the show, but doesn't have space requirements needed for the larger Spiker.
